Research charity Breast Cancer Campaign has launched ‘Spread the Word’, a new social and print campaign which follows on from the brand’s repositioning last October.

Rolled out today, the campaign, which aims to highlight that the vast majority of women who die from breast cancer do so through a secondary cancer, is encouraging supporters to locate and email their MP to ask them to keep breast cancer on the agenda for the 2015 election.

Campaigners are then able to share their action via social networks using the hashtag #spreadtheword and take selfies of themselves holding up posters with the campaign slogan.

Baroness Delyth Morgan, chief executive of Breast Cancer Campaign, said: “We’re launching our ‘Spread the Word’ campaign because we believe there are still too many women dying from breast cancer. We hope this campaign will bring together all those who passionately believe in beating this disease to take action with us to help save more lives in the future.”

Last October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month the charity repositioned its brand and launched a new strategy, Help us find the Cures, and revealed its aim to overcome breast cancer by 2050.

The ‘Spread the word’ campaign creative was developed by creative agency, Sideshow.
