Sotheby’s appoints TBWA as global strategic and creative agency

Sotheby’s, the auction house, has appointed TBWA as its global strategic and creative agency, with the account to be led in London.

TBWA’s remit includes a global brand campaign as well as marketing and advertising activities to support key auctions.

lfredo Gangotena, chief marketing officer at Sotheby’s, said of the appointment: “TBWA’s world-class creative credentials and their experience in building iconic global brands gives Sotheby’s an ideal partner as we take our Company to the next level. Sotheby's is a vibrant worldwide art business that unites collectors with the artwork they treasure. We’ll be very excited to illustrate that Sotheby's embodies the passion for the exquisite.”

The TBWA\London office has been working on a project basis with Sotheby’s over the past two months.

The appointment begins with immediate effect.
