Men’s online fashion retailer Mr Porter has created a new menswear label in collaboration with X Men First Class director Matthew Vaughn inspired by his forthcoming feature film, Kingsman: The Secret Service.

The 60-piece Kingsman collection, which features throughout the film, will launch exclusively on MrPorter.com in September. The collection includes suiting, outerwear, shirting, knitwear and accessories made from British cloth.

Vaughn and Mr Porter worked closely with costume designer Arianne Phillips to design and create the pieces, which are inspired by the Savile Row tradition of tailoring.

Toby Bateman, buying director, Mr Porter, commented on the collaboration: “This is a hugely significant development for Mr Porter. We are consistently looking to provide the best in men’s style to our global customers and visitors and the Kingsman label combines the traditional precision of Savile Row tailoring with a modern silhouette.

“We have worked with the best in class for each product category to develop this collection. Men’s style has always been inspired by the look of leading men in film but this is the first time that the costumes for a movie have been conceived with the idea of selling those clothes to the film’s audience. You could literally be sitting in the cinema watching this film and shopping the looks from your mobile device or tablet as you watch.”

Based on a comic book, Kingsman: The Secret Service, is set to be released mid-October by 20th Century Fox and stars Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson and Michael Caine.
