The Drum’s World Cup Wall Chart Challenge has been won by a design created by graphic designer, Samuel Ladlow.

The wall chart, which will accompany the latest issue of The Drum magazine just in time for the tournament, comes in the form of an A1 poster.

The winning design was chosen following a competitive online vote through The Drum’s website, which ultimately chose Ladlow’s simple design, which numbers every day of the tournament 1-25, each with stylised typography to match a particular team playing that day; on game day eight, for example, he has used the number styling from England’s 1990 world cup campaign kit (Chris Waddle).

A ‘name that number’ section also shows the name of the player, their country and the year that each number relates to.

All of the entries to the competition can be found in the voting section.

Thanks to IgnitionOne for sponsoring the competition.

The latest edition of The Drum magazine, accompanied by The World Cup Wall Chart, will be available for purchase through The Drum Store.
