Stephen Fry, Martha Lane Fox, Nick D’Aloisio and James Rhodes are celebrating the launch of the .UK domain name today in a campaign by Nominet, the not-for-profit internet registry company.

Created by Saatchi & Saatchi, the campaign looks to promote the fact that businesses and individuals alike will be able to register .UK domain names from this morning, 10 June.

Fry has kicked off the campaign by blogging on his .UK domain and looking to get his Twitter followers involved.

He said: "All those hours I’ve spent, if you add them up, typing dot co dot uk, an extra three keystrokes that I could well have done without. Well they're over. Dot UK is finally here!"

Additional content will be created by Fry’s guest bloggers Martha Lane Fox, Nick D’Aloisio and James Rhodes.
