Tourism Asturias positions the region as a 'natural paradise' in London taxi advertising push

Tourism Asturias is taking over 90 SuperSide taxis in London to promote the Spanish destination as a hotspot for culture and nature lovers.

The taxi advertising creative showcases the landscape of the north western Spanish region both inside and outside the cab and features scenes of mountains and rich greenery.

“With this new campaign, we wanted to share the natural richness of Asturias with Londoners looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life,” explained a spokesperson for the Tourism Asturias board.

“We believe that the contrast between the lush images of Asturias and in the powerful urban setting of London will help the ‘natural paradise’ of the region truly stand out.”

Handling the campaign is Ubiquitous, MD Andrew Barnett added: “Taxi advertising is a proven way of making an impact in a busy city like London. Reaching right across the capital from the centre to the airports, taxis are an excellent way for travel and tourism companies to reach busy city dwellers who might be planning their next escape. The taxi provides the perfect urban backdrop to offset the captivating natural beauty of Asturias.”

The taxi advertising activity forms part of a wider marketing campaign for Tourism Asturias.
