Liverpool FC has rolled out a new e-commerce platform, which allows customers to click and collect purchased items at the club's six retail stores.

The site has been developed by Rippleffect with cross platform use in mind, allowing returning customers to automatically sign in when they reach the site, while a guest check in option for users who do not wish to register has also been included.

Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC, commented: “On average, tens of thousands of fans access the LFC online store every day from a myriad of devices. As a result, it was important for the Club to modernise the user shopping experience, helping fans find what they are looking for with ease as well as saving them some money with the new click-and-collect service."

Alec Woolford, technical operations director, Rippleffect, added: "The new online store has been created with the fans in mind, offering a wide range of great features that enhance their shopping experience. With access to personalised content, their shopping experience is more in-tune with their needs than ever before.

"It has been great to play our part in helping Liverpool FC create a world-class e- commerce offering that will lead the way within the sport."

Overseas fans will also be offered a free postage and packaging service as well through the site.
