Bauer Media establishes a senior content team as Phil Alexander adds Q magazine to his editor-in-chief remit
Phil Alexander, editor-in-chief of Mojo and Kerrang! magazines, has assumed responsibility for music monthly Q as part of a move by Bauer Media to establish a senior content team that can offer content and commercial solutions for artists, labels and clients across the Bauer music portfolio.
Q senior editor Matt Mason, Mojo senior editor Danny Eccleston and Kerrang! editor James McMahon form the team that will also work to ensure that Bauer’s portfolio of music magazines collaborates with the company’s rock radio stations which includes Absolute, Planet Rock and Kerrang! Radio.
“There are lots of opportunities to work with our colleagues in radio and to create genuinely unique programming based on high quality editorial,“ said Alexander. “Once again, Bauer is a unique position to deliver genuinely exciting cross-platform ideas.“
He continued: “It’s as simple as this: when it comes to music, you should talk to us at Bauer because we know how to help you and spread the word.”
Alexander assumes his new role with immediate effect, reporting to publisher David Bostock.
