David Tennant is again the star of a new Virgin Media ad, this time to promote the new range of Big Bundles.

Created by BBH, the ads also star Richard Branson and will first air with a primetime slot during Britain’s Got Talent on ITV today, Thursday 29 May.

The first ad sees Tennant start off in a clapped-out Reliant Robin, but when he mentions Virgin Media it turns into spots car, with a trailer attached at the rear carrying a family – with all the members on the internet.

Richard Larcombe, brand and marketing director at Virgin Media, said: “The time had come for our blockbuster duo of Tennant and Branson to hit the road – after all, what better way to show off our supercharged services than from a supercharged vehicle? The ads celebrate the freedom and flexibility of our new unrivalled Big Bundles, helping turn Virgin Media customers into the Big Kahunas of the household.”

A second TV ad will show Tennent on a motorbike, with Richard Branson sitting behind him. A second bike, again featuring the Virgin Media family, is being steered by the family’s pet Labrador, as the rest are too busy on the internet.

As well as the two TV ads, the campaign will consist of print, out of home and online, with media planning handled by Fifty6.
