Savanna, the South African cider brand, has kicked off its summer season at the London Sevens rugby tournament, aimed at engaging with consumers and ensuring that the brand remains front of mind during the summer ‘cider season’.

The experiential campaign includes a ‘comedy gig photobooth’ which challenges people to see how long they can last without laughing, with the brand to have a presence at festivals, sporting events and comedy shows throughout the summer.

Anthony Mills, head of European marketing for Savanna Cider, said: “We know we have a successful approach and that is why we are increasing the resources dedicated to bringing more consumers closer to Savanna.

“Awareness of the brand as ‘the’ New World Cider has increased significantly. We wanted to support that by committing to a record investment this summer.”

The first event took place earlier this month.
