Real Madrid legends Zinedine Zidane and Fabio Cannavaro star in Visa World Cup ad
Football heavyweights Zinedine Zidane and Fabio Cannavaro have been roped back into World Cup service, albeit only for the half-time ad breaks, after being called up by Visa to star in their new World Cup ad.
The former players, both of whom now coach, are filmed tucking into some grub at an anonymous Italian eaterie whilst a World Cup match between France and Italy blares in the background.
Whipped up into a patriotic fervour the Frenchman and the Italian sudeenly become embroiled in a heated face-off across the table as the tension mounts.
Created by Almap BBDO and directed by Rebolucion's Armando Bo the ad forms part of Visa’s ‘Everywhere you want to be’ campaign.
Having had its debut in Brazil the commercial will be rolled out to more than 100 countries from 1 June.
