Hostelworld has struck a deal with Samsung Wallet in a bid to improve its mobile offering.

The budget travel website said that it is “confident" that the move will make mobile bookings quicker and more convenient.

“We are continually looking for strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships and joining Samsung Wallet is a step forward in the mobile world,” explained Feargal Mooney, CEO at Hostelworld.

“As a dynamic, young company with a passion for travel we are excited about our mobile partnerships, with Samsung Wallet we can now offer our customers a more convenient experience when booking accommodation worldwide.”

Samsung Wallet, which launched last year as a rival to Apple’s Passbook, allows users to store all their bookings, tickets, or coupons in one place.

Expedia.com, Booking.com, Hotels.com, and Lufthansa are among some of the other companies to have joined the Samsung Wallet network.
