Sweet brands Haribo and Maoam have appointed Brass Alt as lead digital and social agency to handle all online activity for both brands in the UK.

Made following an eight way competitive pitch, the appointment looks to help build the digital business of the confectionary brands by strengthening operations across existing platforms and beyond.

For Haribo, Brass Alt will continue to grow social and digital impact for seasonal, NPD and campaign work.

Katy Clark, marketing manager at Haribo, said: “Brass Alt developed a strong, engaging strategy that informed some outstanding creative and, most importantly, had a real focus on ROI. The Brass Alt team are also a great match for us in terms of big brand experience and relevant audience insight.”

As part of its work for Maoam, there will be a focus on an ‘always on’ approach to social media targeting teenagers specifically.

Hayley Johnson, marketing manager for Maoam said: “We are excited to have Brass Alt on board and believe we can take the brand forward together. Maoam currently boasts over 740,000 Facebook likes, so it’s important that we continue to engage by developing creative content that excites our fans.”

Gillian Ball, head of Brass Alt, said the agency will look to help the brands realise their digital ambitions.
