Simon Whitaker ditches London to join MediaCom Manchester as business planning director
MediaCom Manchester has appointed Simon Whitaker as business planning director.

He will take responsibility for clients Iceland, AO.com, Halewood, Bahlsen and Wagamama, and joins the agency after a six-month secondment at Morrisons to oversee media planning and evaluation activity.
Prior to that, Whitaker was at MEC London for three years, where he became business director.
Pete Cooper, managing director at MediaCom Manchester, said: “Our ability to bring a strategist of Simon’s calibre and considerable experience on board with us here in the north-west is yet another indicator of MediaCom Manchester’s current trajectory, and our desire to continue developing the agency and the service we’re able to offer clients.”
Whitaker added that the opportunity to join the agency made the decision to leave London an “easy one to make”.
