Samsung becomes official consumer electronics and smartphone supplier to the England Football Team

Samsung Electronics has signed a deal with the Football Association to become the official consumer electronics and smartphone supplier to the England Team.

The deal will see the England football team and staff provided with Samsung Galaxy S5 devices, which will come loaded with health features, including a heart rate monitor.

FA commercial director Stuart Turner said: “We are extremely excited that Samsung will be supporting the England team as our new official consumer electronics and smartphone supplier. Samsung has a fantastic heritage in football across the globe and in such an important year, the team will be flying out to Brazil with the best possible mobile devices at their fingertips.”

To promote the new partnership, Samsung is offering England fans the opportunity to win a trip to Miami, Florida including tickets to see England take on Honduras on Saturday 7 June.

Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland president Andy Griffiths said: “Samsung has a long association with football both in the UK and globally and we’re delighted that this partnership adds to our on-going commitment to all football fans. We wish the England team the best of luck this summer and are proud that the players and staff will be equipped with the latest Samsung technology.”

Samsung is also involved in football partnerships with clubs such as Chelsea FC, Real Madrid FC and Bayern Munich FC.
