Following user research online food ordering site hungryhouse has launched hungryhouse Express, a UK-wide service ensuring customers they will receive their food order within 45 minutes or the next meal’s free.

Launched as a direct response to demand from time-pressed consumers demanding even faster food hungryhouse Express restaurants promise to stick to a 45 minute delivery window for customers within their local radius.

The initiative aims to promote hungryhoyuse’s local takeway partners who already deliver within an allotted timeframe, promoting those partners with a TV and online marketing campaign and housing them within a special hungryhouse Express search function on the ordering platform.

“Offering customers a free meal is a bold move. However, our customers have asked for it and we have given them what they want,” said Alice Mrongovius, UK marketing director at hungryhouse.

“We know many of our partners already deliver within 45 minutes so this service is making it easier for restaurants to promote their efficiency and for time-poor customers to ensure their food will be delivered before they’ve even had time to set the table.”

Responsive technology has been developed and built to support the service, enabling Express restaurants to take themselves offline when required to allow customers to order from the fastest restaurants at that time.
