Nokia Lumia photography chief Ari Partinen, who oversaw the development of the Nokia 808 Pureview and Nokia N8, has joined Apple. Partinen confirmed the appointment on his Twitter account, sparking rumours that the new iPhone will feature a revamped camera.

At present the current iPhone, the 5S, has a 8MP i-sight camera compared with the Nokia Lumia 1020's 41MP camera. According to reports a forthcoming iPhone 6 will feature a Lytro-style camera capable of capturing layered images. With industry experts claiming the next iPhone camera will not only have image stabilisation but will also be able to draw in more light for better image and video quality.
