Trinity Mirror's Michael Greenwood to oversee development of internal news wire and reporter legal training in new role
Trinity Mirror has named Michael Greenwood as group executive editor, a new position which will see him develop content sharing on the company’s internal wires system.

In addition to developing Trinity Mirror Wire content sharing across national and regional brands, Greenwood will oversee law training for editorial staff across titles and “masterclass reporter training” for regional teams.
He also joins a newly-formed managing editor team for regionals, joining Chris Walker, who has moved from north-west managing editor to senior MD for regionals; and Eamonn O’Neal, who will take on the north-west region in addition to his MD of MEN Media responsibilities, as well as becoming deputy MD for regionals.
Greenwood, who joined the company as a trainee journalist, has now been with Trinity Mirror for 17 years.
