USP Creative: A Little Bit of Easter Magic
Brand: USP CreativeTitle(s): A Little Bit of Easter MagicAgency: USP Creative, Liverpool UK Agency website: http://www.uspcreative.comCreative Director: Simon BroadbentIllustrator: John McNallyPublished: April 2014Short rationale: USP Creative wanted to produce an ‘Easter Greeting’ using social media which could be easily shared. Other platforms were explored, but the team decided on using Vine’s stop motion capability. The inspiration came from the notion of scribbling down ideas, and these coming to life when the illustrator steps away from his desk. The team wanted to show the rabbit coming into contact with everything on the desk – jumping into the iPad and nudging the Sharpie – before disappearing into the USP Creative logo. The finished video shows a little bit of Easter magic in the USP Creative office.
PETA: PETA and Paul McCartney 'Make it a Good Friday for animals – try vegetarian'
Brand: PETATitle(s): Make it a Good Friday for animals – try vegetarianAgency: PETAShort Rationale: In the days leading up to Easter, former Beatle Paul McCartney has appeared in an online PETA blitz wearing an "Eat No Fish" T-shirt and urging fans to "make it a Good Friday for animals – try vegetarian". Paul's Good Friday message references a holy day when many Christians traditionally replace meat from land animals with fish. Paul, who was raised a Catholic, says: "Many years ago, I was fishing, and as I was reeling in the poor fish, I realised, 'I am killing him – all for the passing pleasure it brings me'. And something inside me clicked, I realised as I watched him fight for breath that his life was as important to him as mine is to me".
