Argos Home Retail Group Appointments

Argos digital lead, Bertrand Bodson, promoted to chief digital officer of Home Retail Group

Bertrand Bodson has taken on the role of chief digital officer for the Home Retail Group, the parent company for Argos where he was most recently digital director.

Bodson held the role at Argos for just nine months before his promotion. Prior to that he spent three years in various digital roles at EMI Music and co-founded Bragster, a social network acquired by Guinness World Records in 2010.

In a statement given to The Drum, the Home Retail Group said: “We can confirm that Bertrand Bodson was promoted to the new role of chief digital officer for Home Retail Group last month.

“Reporting to chief executive John Walden he will continue to lead Argos' digital strategy and has assumed broader responsibilities for Argos' information systems and for the expanding digital strategies across the Group.”

In addition to Argos, the Home Retail Group includes Homebase and Habitat.
