Harvey Nichols has launched a new e-commerce website with Ampersand Commerce, as it looks to improve and optimise its online offering.

The new website integrates editorial content, social media streams, videos and blog posts into product pages.

Sandrine Deveaux, multichannel director at Harvey Nichols, said: “We are thrilled to be unveiling our new website. The new site is the first step in our multichannel journey. Specially tailored to our multichannel shopper, it offers an enhanced experience both instore and online. The mobile friendly interface will offer Harvey Nichols customers the ability to shop our fashion edit wherever they are. Finally, the introduction of Style Advisors and Click & Try will give a personal touch to our online service. ”

Ampersand has also built an optimised mobile website, with the aim to ensure a consistent experience regardless of device used.

Ampersand Commerce MD Darryl Adie added: "Working in partnership with the Harvey Nichols team, we have developed an ecommerce solution which provides customers an improved cross-channel experience, new shortlisting features, social media sharing and real-time stock information, all of which give the customer the best possible experience."

The website allows users to store products to buy later, book personal shopping appointments, view live stock updates online.
