The AIS creative team behind last year’s ‘I wish my son had cancer’ print campaign for Harrison’s Fund, Dan Madden and Matt Eastwood, have joined iris.

Of the move, Madden and Eastwood said: “We joined iris because it's a place that has a positive attitude of getting ideas made for the kind of brands that every creative wants in their book. Over the last year they've done some top creative work and we're looking to make this year even better. And when we saw their fridge full of free Pepsi, the decision was sealed.”

Shaun McIlrath, global creative director at iris, added: “Dan and Matt are really talented multi-disciplinary thinkers with a brilliant attitude to problem solving. They'll fit right in.”

At iris Madden and Eastwood will work across the agency’s accounts, reporting to Nina Taylor, deputy creative director, and executive creative director, Chris Baylis.

In addition to Madden and Eastwood’s appointment iris has also confirmed that former Inferno creative led on Nokia and Sky, Ben Peate, has joined the agency to work as deputy creative director on the Samsung account.

Peate commented: “I've always been attracted to independent agencies and iris is really the place to be at the moment. My background is telecoms, entertainment and tech, so the opportunity to work on one of the world's leading technology brands made the decision very easy. The creative that’s coming out of iris at the moment is world class, and I wanted to be part of that.”

The Harrison’s Fund campaign won a number of awards last year following its release.
