Online department store Very.co.uk has invested £3m in a TV campaign to launch its 2014 summer ranges, airing from today (Thursday 10 April).

The campaign, created by St Luke’s, positions Very.co.uk as the only brand you’ll need to do summer in style and utilises a 360° camera action to reveal models looking the epitome of summer cool and all the stylish items available from the retailer that you’ll need, whatever your summer plans may be.

In addition to summer fashions the creative highlights Very.co.uk’s range of outdoor furniture, BBQs, luggage, statement accessories, beach clothing and holiday electricals for those escaping the unpredictable British weather.

“Having set a precedent recently for great fashion ads, with this campaign we purposefully wanted to show the range of products on offer at Very.co.uk whilst still living up to the fashion credentials and stylish, aspirational advertising that St Luke’s has created for us,” remarked Jon Owen, retailer director at Shop Direct, home of Very.co.uk.

St Luke’s creative director, Alan Young, added: “Very.co.uk has a 360° department store offer for summer, so in collaboration with Canada we have created a film with a 360° shooting technique to celebrate this.”

Long-time brand ambassador Fearne Cotton, who has worked with Very.co.uk for four years, features in the commercial which was shot on location in Barcelona and directed by Canada. National print, online and outdoor activity will support the TV promotion.
