Specialist recruitment consultancy Stratum International refreshes brand look and feel with 999 Design

Specialist global recruitment consultancy Stratum International has worked with 999 to create its branding.

The project involved an initial brand positioning and strategy phase to showcase and differentiate Stratum International within its core market of top tier mining professionals, creating a distinctive, yet flexible, visual identity which can be used across digital, animation, infographics and print material.

As the word ‘Stratum’ refers to parallel, distinguished layers of rock 999 designed the visual characteristics of the identity to reflect this, a challenging tone of voice – ‘We reverse the traditional recruitment process…We believe that the traditional recruitment model is fundamentally flawed…’ – has also been employed to set Stratum International apart from its competitors.

A fully responsive site has also been created complete with online tools and resources and featuring real-time information for clients and candidates alike. The online tools are integrated with Stratum’s CRM and back-office systems to streamline administration workflows and communication between consultants and their clients and candidates. Features include online salary tools, market reports, data charts and job boards enabling clients and candidates to access current and up-to-date market insights.

“We launched Stratum International with a clear intent to challenge the perceptions of the traditional mining recruitment process. 999 have created a striking new brand and website - delivering a premium and innovative user experience that differentiates us on a global scale,” said John Larpent, Stratum International.

Frankie Healy, 999 head of digital, added: “The challenge for us was translating Stratum's offline reporting and market data, a key differentiator for them, into a dynamic set of online tools that would help provide added value to their userbase.

“This required seamless integration into the back end systems to allow us to pull in the large datasets needed to develop these dynamic tools and make them meaningful. The end result was exactly that, a set of tools and reporting mechanisms providing Stratum's userbase with key market data insights.”

Clients and candidates can also access their account information via their own personal online profile which is automatically synced between the website and Bullhorn, a specialised recruitment CRM platform.
