Take part in our World Cup wall chart design competition – best poster to be given away free by The Drum
The Drum wants your help to design the ultimate World Cup wall chart for this summer's tournament in Brazil. We have teamed up with IgnitionOne to set the industry a fun open brief to design a creative A1 wall chart for the games. All the entries you send us will be featured on The Drum and the winner, as chosen by our readers, will be printed and distributed with The Drum magazine in time for the opening fixture – Brazil v Croatia – on 12 June. Every football fan will have seen dozens of wall charts. This is your chance to create something different. Simplicity and creativity are two key elements of the brief... But, first and foremost, it must look great on the studio wall. So forget the dull and tacky wall charts of yore – we know you can do better than that. The full brief is simple. You should create an A1-sized poster that easily allows fans to follow the games, keeping themselves up to date with the vital scores. This should be single-sided and full colour, and must not use any of the tournament's official branding. You have until 2 May to submit your ideas and they should be sent to email@example.com in a high-res PDF document. Full specs are below. Once we have received all the ideas, we'll invite our readers to pick their favourite in an online vote. This is a reprise of our successful World Cup wall chart competition of 2010, which was won by Fresh. Wall chart specifics: A1 (portrait or landscape) Single sided Cannot use official Fifa World Cup branding Logos (up to 50mm in height) of your design agency/personal brand, our project partner IgnitionOne and The Drum will be added to the bottom edge of the winning wall chart. This should be considered when designing. PDF settings: 300dpi high res pdf 3mm bleed, all print marks and FOGRA39 (ISO 12647-2-2004) colour conversion. The competition is open to agencies or freelancers. Simply tell us who should be credited with the work when you send in your entry. If you have any questions, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing your ideas.
