With this weekend’s football results seeing Liverpool top of the Premier League and now 13/8 to win their first title since 1990, bookmaker Paddy Power has resurrected its ‘Scouser’s third wish’ creative from last year on Europe’s largest full motion digital screen.

First run in May of last year, the creative followed the passing of Margaret Thatcher and the retirement of Alex Ferguson. At the time Liverpool were sitting in seventh place in the Premier League table with odds of finishing top in 2013/14 at 25/1.

Eleven months later Brendan Rogers' side are now sitting above all the pre-season favourites and look certain to be returning to the Champions League. In a double swing for the city, Everton are 6/4 to sneak into the top four after defeating Arsenal on Sunday.

A Paddy Power spokesperson commented: “A gritty win for Liverpool on Sunday sees them go to top of the league with just five games to go. It looks like our scouser with the magic lamp has just used their last wish although Man City will be doing all they can to try and spoil the mystic party.”

Recognising this ‘third wish’ turn of events, Paddy Power has updated the copy from its 2013 creative, complete with the club's new title odds.
