Cricket Scotland appoints Spreng & Co to handle media relations
Cricket Scotland has appointed Spreng & Co as its official media relations partner in the run-up to the ICC World Cup.
Roddy Smith, chief executive of Cricket Scotland, said: “Scotland’s qualification for the biggest tournament in the sport is great for Scotland and for cricket. It’s already one of the most popular participation sports in Scotland and we plan to use this platform to show that cricket is a sport for everyone. What’s more, we want to use this opportunity to create a lasting legacy for cricket in Scotland.
“It’s also our chance to showcase Scotland and Scottish cricket to the rest of the world and Spreng & Co will help us to work with the media, both at home and at the event, to make the most of this opportunity.”
The Cricket Scotland account will be run by Spreng & Co PR director, Kirstin Stevenson, who will work closely alongside Cricket Scotland communications manager, Ben Fox.
