Peaches Geldof death: tributes flood social media

Floods of condolences were expressed on social media as the news of Peaches Geldof’s death filtered through on Monday afternoon.

The death of the 25-year-old daughter of musician Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates stunned the public, and in a statement her father said: “Peaches has died. We are beyond pain.”Kent police said they were called to an address in Kent on Monday afternoon after receiving a report of concern for the welfare of a woman. Her death is being treated as “sudden and unexplained”.She leaves behind a husband, Thomas Cohen, and two sons, one-year-old Astala and Phaedra, who turns one later this month.The last picture she posted on her Instagram account was one of her and her mother, who died when Geldof was aged 11 after a drug overdose. Celebrities and members of the public have spoken of their shock and offered condolences to Geldof's family.
