Grand National tots up over 200,000 tweets

Over 205,500 mentions were made on Twitter during the Grand National yesterday, statistics from SecondSync has found, with winner Pineau De Re being mentioned over 11,000 times.Of the 137,103 individual tweeters, over half (55 per cent) were men men, with 45 per cent of tweets coming from women.There were an average of 732 tweets a minute, peaking to 4,531 at 4.30pm.
