Manchester United has struck a sponsorship deal with South Korean food company Ottogi.

Deal: Ottogi has become a club sponsor

The “multi-year” sponsorship makes Ottogi an official partner of the club in South Korean, and Manchester United’s crest and club imagery will be displayed on Ottogi’s products.

Mr Young-Joon Ham, CEO of Ottogi, said: “Ottogi recognises the club’s global footprint and its strong association with the Korean consumers. Ottogi understands the power of football and has continuously invested in sports marketing over the past few years.

“We look forward to maximising the partnership to retain our market leadership and to further globalise our brand.”

Richard Arnold, Manchested United’s group managing director, added: “Manchester United has over 15 million passionate followers in South Korea and this partnership will help bring these fans closer to the club they love.”

Ottogi, which exports products to more than 30 countries across Asia, Europe and the US, will mark its 45th anniversary this year.
