James Franco’s Instagram stalking cited as ‘ballsy’ marketing ploy
James Franco’s headline grabbing moves on a teenage fan have earned the actor an unwelcome reputation as a letch but now suggestions have emerged that the whole situation may have been nothing more than a ‘ballsy’ marketing stunt. The 35-year old was allegedly caught hounding a 17-year old fan on Instagram, sending her selfie portraits whilst attempting to persuade her to meet in a hotel room. Now web cynics have contested that the affair may be nothing more than a PR stunt to promote his latest flick, Palo Alto, in which Franco plays a single father and girls football coach who has an affair with one of his players.Amongst those on Twitter to air suspicion is Christine H, who observed: “Has no one else considered that this James Franco/17 year old girl news from today is all probably just some clever marketing for Palo Alto?”
