IPG Mediabrands’ mobile division Ansible has announced the appointment of Oliver Bareham as its UK head of mobile.

Having previously run his own mobile agency, as well as a serving as head of retail and entertainment at mobile marketing agency Somo, Bareham will support Mediabrands’ agency partners UM and Initiative and their clients to create innovative mobile strategies.

“I’m delighted to be heading up Ansible for Mediabrands,” said Bareham. “With its exciting roster of major clients including Tesco and Microsoft, I’m certain to be busy from the off. The scale and reach of the company, and the upsurge in mobile marketing across the industry will make for some very exciting projects in the future.”

Bareham has advised some of the world’s biggest and most sophisticated users of mobile such as Levi’s, Coca-Cola and Siemens.
