Rathbone Perception Media and Pepagon have announced that they are to merge, forming a new media and brand communication agency known as RP2.

The full-service agency has a combined turnover of £50m through a range of services including Rathbone’s media strategy, planning and buying expertise and Pepagon’s brand, product and creative offering.

Former Rathbone MD, now RP2 MD, Simon Cox, commented: “We are very excited by the creation of RP2, which fills a unique position in the marketplace as a totally client focused full service agency.

“We have always had a solution neutral business from a media planning and buying point of view, but we are now extending this philosophy to RP2, creating an agency offering both media and brand communication services. By joining everything together with specialists in both disciplines, sharing the same vision, we can provide a different type of service”.

Lee Callaghan, former MS of Pepagon and now commercial director of RP2, added: “Having seen the sales and brand success achieved by innovative media planning and buying by Rathbone Perception Media for their clients, I am convinced that by joining our teams we will enrich our work and offering to our clients. By joining-up a variety of disciplines sharing the same results orientated focus, we will be able to deliver deeper connection with our clients customers and thereby help drive sales”.

The combined agencies existing clients roster includes Sega, Royal Mail, Harveys and Southend Airport.
