Banksy, Idris Elba and Elbow have come together to lead a creative collaboration marking the third anniversary of the conflict in Syria on 13 March.Banksy has re-worked his iconic ‘girls with a red balloon’ image to reflect the war, while Elbow contributed exclusive music for a #WithSyria animation directed and produced by RSA Films, and Idris Elba provided the voice over. The film was written and created by Sunshine, and the project was creatively led by the agency.Banksy’s red balloon symbol has been adopted at widespread vigils marking the anniversary, as the bloody conflict in Syria continues, with many people posting images to Twitter. The global PR campaign highlighting the ongoing bloodshed was orchestrated by Freuds.Justin Forsyth, CEO of Save the Children – which recently launched a hard-hitting ‘If London was Syria’ campaign - said: “For three years Syria’s children have endured unacceptable suffering. The impact of this crisis has been devastating. Tonight's vigil, and vigils around the world, are to show the people of Syria that we care and that we are demanding world leaders take action to end this conflict now.”Idris Elba added: “It was important for me to support and lend my voice to this animation that alongside Banksy’s new piece is part of the #WithSyria campaign. Ordinary Syrian civilians continue to pay the heaviest price in a conflict that has already wrecked millions of lives. Let's stand with Syria today
