Xaxis, the programmatic media and technology platform, announced today it has named Marcus Siddons as managing director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Siddons joins Xaxis from Sony Pictures Entertainment where he served as head of digital media for Sony Pictures Television Arabia

“Xaxis has built the industry’s most effective and comprehensive suite of programmatic advertising solutions, empowering advertisers to strategically reach relevant audiences with useful and targeted messaging,” said Siddons. “I look forward to working with both advertisers and publishers in the MENA market to help them maximise their digital efforts across all digital marketing channels.”

In his new role, he will hold responsibility for managing operations across the region, overseeing account management, trading, publisher relations and partnerships.

“Marcus brings a rich and nuanced understanding of the MENA market to Xaxis along with excellent experience working with publishers, advertisers and media companies across the region to create successful digital marketing initiatives,” said Caspar Schlickum, CEO EMEA for Xaxis. “He will play a key role in driving growth for Xaxis in the fast growing MENA region.”

The appointment represents WPP's increased commitment to expand its programmatic offering to its clients in MENA.
