Instagram redesigns for Android, with faster speeds and simplified images
Instagram has introduced ‘a faster, more responsive app’ for Android, two years after the app was originally launched for the platform.
“Your profile screen now loads twice as fast, and we’ve cut the overall app size in half to increase speed throughout Instagram,” the company explained.
The aim of the updates, the company says, is to make the app feel native and at home on all Android devices.
The new look includes a simplification of visuals, with the aim to make sure of screen space for different Android models, so that there is no waste of space no small screens, and those with larger screens have the buttons in easy reach during navigation.
