Transport for London (TfL) has awarded outdoor and experiential agency Saximo exclusive rights to brand London Overground trains and ticket barriers, with Now Mobile signed up as the first advertiser.

Advertisers will be able to reach a large audience, 70 per cent of which is ABC1, through 65 vinyl-wrapped trains and 218 ticket barriers, which consumers will have to walk through to leave the station.

“We can create joined-up media opportunities that give advertisers the chance not to just reach their target audience, but to engage with them to build long-lasting impact,” Mark Hockney, managing director at Saximo, said.

The advertising opportunities will include 84 stations, which together attract a footfall of 180 million passengers a year.

A ticket barrier campaign for mobile network business Now Mobile is set to launch this week.
