LeanIn.Org, an organisation founded by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, has partnered with the Girl Scouts of the USA for a public service campaign to encourage leadership and achievement in young girls.

The campaign, titled ‘Ban Bossy’, was developed by BBDO New York and aims to draw attention to the ways girls and women are discouraged from leading and called ‘bossy’ when they do.

It includes a dedicated website (BanBossy.com), educational materials, public service messages, promotional partnerships, and social media.

The activity launched on International Women’s Day last week when The Drum also rebranded for the day and spoke to the likes of Mary Keane-Dawson and Rosie Arnold on how digital is empowering women across the industry.
