Kirshenbaum bond senecal + partners (kbs+) has acquired social media marketing agency Attention, as it looks to strengthen its social media offering and expand its presence on the west coast.

Attention will also contribute to the integrated agency by interpreting unstructured search and social data to launch creative campaigns around purchase intent and brand consideration.

“As a fully integrated creative, advertising and marketing agency, kbs+ invents across the entire customer journey for its clients,” said kbs+ chairman and CEO Lori Senecal. “This journey is increasingly influenced by social behaviour – how consumers share and socialize. Kbs+ clients will benefit from Attention’s deep experience, not only improving performance in social channels and content, but also integrating social behaviour throughout brand communications.”

Attention will continue to be led by its founder Curtis Hougland and chief operating officer, Paul Beck.

Hougland said: “As the discipline of social media marketing matures, innovation yields to invention, the need to make wholly new things at the moment when social media feels accepted. Lori is a true maker, and social media marketing can only thrive in today in a maker culture.”

Attention has clients such as Mattel, Dunkin' Donuts and Samsung.
