Instagram strikes ad deal with Omnicom worth up to $100m

Instagram has reportedly struck a major ad deal with Omnicom that is worth up to $100m.

The deal will see the photo and video-sharing site begin rolling out ads for brands that are among Omnicom’s clients, according to Ad Age.

Facebook, which bought Instagram for $715m in 2012, is expected to rake in £474m in UK ad revenues in 2014 – up from 29 per cent from £351 last year, according to eMarketer.

Google and Facebook continue to dominate the UK digital ad landscape, taking 40.8 per cent and 6.7 per cent of total digital ad spend respectively, according to eMarketer.
