Time begins rollout of new-look website
Time magazine has begun to roll out its redesigned website to users following a six month upgrade overseen by design studio Big Human.
This places a greater emphasis on social, mobile and video functionality together with re-jigged ad units, allowing room for more content and breaking news stories on its homepage.
Content is subdivided with new articles appearing on the left with columnists and other features aligned to the right, with a central area inbetween devoted to the most important current news.
Citi, Siemens, and Advil are sponsoring the re-launch with banner ads now interactive in that clicking on them will open a larger ad in the centre of the screen. Adverts in the style of editorial content, though marked as sponsored, will also feature prominently.
News of the relaunch will be communicated in a three-fold cover story in the print edition of the title.
