Save The Children has launched a new video campaign to highlight the ongoing conflict in Syria and raise public awareness.

The one and a half minute video, created by Don’t Panic, follows a typical British girl over the course of a year in a civil war hit London.

It begins with the girl celebrating her birthday with family and ends a year later as the girl, now homeless and fatherless, stares blankly ahead in a stark hospital bed.

It closes with the words: "Just because it isn't happening here, doesn't mean it isn't happening."

The campaign video is released today (5 March) to coincide with the build up to the three year anniversary of the Syrian Crisis, and will be promoted across social and broadcast media by The Viral Factory.
