Royal Mail tonight launches a new TV ad declaring 'We love parcels'.

The ad, created by Beta, makes the claim that online shoppers trust Royal Mail to deliver their orders more than any other national parcel company.

Following a consumer ad campaign which ran at the end of last year, the new ad will run for the first time during England’s World Cup warm-up against Denmark on ITV1.

Mike Newnham, Royal Mail’s chief customer officer, said: “This is Royal Mail’s first TV ad specifically targeting business customers for five years. Through the TV ad, we are promoting Royal Mail’s leading role as the parcel delivery partner for online retailers and emphasising the trust shoppers place in us to deliver the items they have ordered.”

The ad shows real members of Royal Mail’s postal team at work, promoting the fact that half year figures show parcels now account for 51 per cent of group revenue.

As well as the TV ad, direct mail will form part of the campaign.
