AKQA's VP International Guy Wieynk leaves after 15 years

AKQA's VP International, Guy Wieynk has left the agency after 15 years.

Wieynk's reason for making the decision to leave the WPP-owned agency is yet to come to light although the company's CEO Ajaz Ahmed has confirmed the departure.

Ahmed said: “We have appreciated Guy's contribution to our firm for over 15 years. We would like to thank Guy and wish him all the best in his next adventure.”

In a statement Wieynk, said: “I am proud of the leadership role I have played at AKQA for the last 15 years but after much thought I have decided that the time is right to look for a new challenge. I have had an amazing time overseeing phenomenal business growth and award-winning work for some of the best brands in the world. It has been a privilege to work with some of the best talent in the Industry and I wish the team all the best for the future, I am now looking forward to persuing an exciting new adventure.”

Meanwhile, Tom Bedecarre said: “Guy has had a variety of senior roles within AKQA and has made a significant contribution to AKQA. I would like to thank Guy for his support and I wish him all the very best for the future”

Wieynk joined the London agency from its US office in 2008.
