The first of a four-part series of events hosted by Adaptive Lab, ‘Journalism in the age of mobile and social media’ gives insight into the current culture of reporting by Nic Newman, a digital strategist and founding member of the BBC News website.

Newman touches on the quality and speed of information that we are now met with and how celebrity and social media has led journalistic institutions to be undermined by these trends.

Newman is editor of the annual Reuters Institute Digital News Report (Oxford University) and a senior research fellow in the Journalism department at City University London.
