Brussels-based online payment service provider Ogone has appointed London-based Karma Communications to help drive new business across Europe.

Appointment: Ogone has hired Karma Communications

The agency group, which counts Karmarama and Grape in its stable, won the account after a six-month competitive pitch process and the deal will see the launch of Ogone’s first CRM programme.

Karma will also cover web design and consultancy services through Karmarama, new product launches, customer insight and data analysis. Grape will handle social marketing activity globally for the company.

Ogone, which has built a client base of more than 42,000 merchants in the last 10 years, was recently acquired by POS payment solution provider Ingenico for €360m. Ogone has previously worked with clients such as Barclaycard and assisted in the development of the brand’s ePDQ payment processing system for UK merchants in 2012.
