Kopparberg has appointed W Communications to handle its PR, with a focus on events, just a week after The Drum reported that the cider brand appointed Good Stuff to handle its £1m media account.

Good Stuff was appointed to handle media planning and buying, following a two-way pitch with the incumbent, Arena Media.

The appointments come as part of a £10m A&P investment for the brand in 2014.

Kopparberg head of marketing Rob Calder said: “Given the continued growth of the brand and the significant increase in our marketing spend in 2014, it was the right time to review our arrangements. What impresses us most is Good Stuff’s energy, their desire to work with us and their inventive approach to new opportunities. We can’t wait to get started and we look forward to growing with them in the coming years.

“We believe W Communications will add real quality to our event strategy in 2014. They gave us real confidence that they understand our brand, and our future direction.

“These two appointments reflect our company’s entrepreneurial ethos and independent spirit.”

18Feet & Rising still holds the creative account for Kopparberg.
