Account Wins: 7thingsmedia makes the French Connection, 6 agencies appointed by Glasgow Uni and Engine picks up British Army account

French Connection has appointed 7thingsmedia to manage a global digital campaign for the UK and US. The appointment will see the agency manage the paid digital media channels for the two regions.

The University of Glasgow has appointed six agencies to handle its quarter of a million pound graphic design framework, accounting for two lots.

Cactus Creative, Red Empire and Room for Design were appointed to lot one, while 999 Design, D8 Limited and Catalysto won the second lot.

The British Army has appointed Engine to convey the changing face of the armed forces ahead of the end of combat operations in Afghanistan later this year and the replacement of the Territorial Army with the Army Reserve last month. Engine secured a place on the Government Creative Framework last year and has since won appointment for the department of business innovation and skills, HMRC and the department of work and pensions.

Rugby World Cup has appointed UK publisher Trinity Mirror to produce its match-day programmes for the Rugby World Cup 2015 in England. The publisher’s subsidiary, Sport Media, has been named as the official match-day programme and pre-tournament magazine licensee for the sporting event.

UK bathroom specialist bathstore has chosen Frank PR to oversee all consumer, corporate and trade PR after an internal management reshuffle. As part of their remit Frank PR will be running the consumer press office as well as offering corporate and trade support.

Kopparberg has appointed Good Stuff to handle its £1m media account following a review. The cider brand account has moved out of Arena after over six years with the Havas owned agency.

Paragon, the vehicle processing supplier, has appointed Brass to handle its integrated marketing campaign following a competitive pitch process. Brass will look to create a campaign to support the company’s growth plans, as part of the six figure account.

Fage UK has appointed 1000heads to provide ongoing social media, creative and strategic support for the Total Greek Yoghurt brand, following a successful pilot.

Emmet London has named Fist of Fury as its new creative and digital agency. Emmett is among a number of other former Coolpink clients to have joined Fist of Fury since the beginning of the year.

Papa John’s has appointed Grey Global to handle its creative account, which has an annual media spend of about $120m. Grey will take over from Zimmerman Advertising, who will continue to hold the media planning and buying for the pizza chain.

Frozen yogurt brand Snog has appointed John Doe to handle its PR and cultural content.
