Tilt Control, a Google Glass app which aims to help those with motor disabilities, has been created by Isobar to provide hands-free and voice-free navigation.

The move from Isobar, led by emerging technology lead Mike DiGiovanni, uses head tilts and winking to essentially make the technology fully hands-free.

DiGiovanni explained: “While there are specific use cases for anyone when using Glass hands-free would be useful (like cooking, on a crowded subway with little room to move, etc), Tilt Control opens up a new world of possibilities for people with limited mobility who could previously only use a few basic functions of Glass (like taking a picture or video).”

Once Tilt Control is installed and setup, winking while the screen of Glass is off, will turn on the screen an allow you to use Tilt Control to control Glass. Head tilts to the left or right will move the timeline to that direction, accompanied by a knocking sound.
