Google has published a list of do’s and don’ts for its Glass technology as early adopters get to grips with the unfamiliar technology, intended to see off suspicious stares and accusatory comments directed at their wearers.

Topping the list no-no’s is to ‘glass out’ or become so immersed in staring at the lens that you become oblivious to the world around you, freaking out those in eyeshot.

Google’s engineers also advise against donning the head ware whilst participating in high impact sports such as cage fighting, the two don’t readily mix apparently. The firm also advises that the specs are likely to draw lots of welcome (and unwelcome) attention from strangers so the wearer should be ready to answer a barrage of questions.

Wearers are also implored not to be ‘glassholes’, a term coined by the search giant to denote intemperate behaviour towards non-Glass wearers.

Rather than just nanny people with a bunch of rules that most (you would hope) would take for granted the tech firm has also published a list of some behaviours it does seek to encourage.

These include participating in the Glass community, exploring the world and always asking permission from people before recording them.
